SoulRISE

~Event Description ~

No Dance Experience Required!

***BRING YOUR TEA CUP!***

Forget the Saturday morning cartoons just this once and join us for a morning of dance and Floèm tea time!

Soul Rise is the perfect way to awaken your body, nourish your soul, and tantalize your taste buds.

This conscious dance experience, semi-guided and in free form, invites you on an incredible musical journey within a dynamic community. Our main intention? To move, be present, and connect with one another over a cup of tea after dancing our hearts out.

Immerse yourself in a captivating fusion of world music and energetic Afro beats that will gently awaken your senses, leading you to vibe and sweat with joy.

Afterward, connect with friends and community during Floèm tea time, enhanced by soothing ambient sounds and voice created LIVE by SWA SWALLY to guide your integration.

You'll be invited into a trancelike state—grounded and blissful—leaving you perfectly prepared to start your day on a high note.

**On this dance floor, you’ll connect with yourself and, if you feel the call, with others—allowing whatever needs to flow to flow.**

All emotions, sounds, and unique dance moves are welcome!

~SWA SWALLY~

After having lived 4 years in Africa where he was initiated to percussion and consequently been deeply involved in World Music, exploring Middle Eastern chants as well as various aboriginal rhythms, SWA SWALLY then felt the urge to create an original music which would convey primitive and instinctive pulsations while at the same time appealing to one’s emotions.

Live performer who played in festivals across Canada with numerous producers, d.j's and musicians. Specialized in improvisations and live playing on any kind of percussion. his music links together aboriginal rhythms with ultra-modern themes, so that a trance style piece will make you want to dance. Much like during a tribal ceremony aboriginal people will gather round a fire not only to be entranced but also to dance.

SWA SWALLY here retrieves long forgotten sounds and music, some of them totally unknown, then recasts and reframes them so that they become more easily accessible to our modern ears.
