ECSTATIC SHAKE

AN ANCIENT PRACTICE POWERFUL FOR MODERN LIFE

“Shaking” is an ancient practice that is considered sacred and spiritual; medicine for the spirit. In various cultures, "shaking" was a direct portal to Source and a powerful healing tool. Today, although we don't hear about it in our culture, it is widely practiced throughout the world, especially in Brazil, Africa, and Japan.

The act of trembling spontaneously for long periods of time regulates all of our "bodies" - our physical, mental, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies.

Shaking is different from spiritual dancing, trans-dance or bodywork.

There is a subtlety to the practice that invites deep listening. It comes from your own body's desire to know itself; to unravel, replenish, release, invigorate, invoke, and pray through shaking. It’s a doorway to facilitating our own “revival”. There's no imposed rhythm or intensity. We do not use self will to enter the practice. Instead we invite the spirit of shaking in. And we learn to surrender to body and soul wisdom.

Everyone can benefit from the practice of shaking.

It's accessible to YOU because it's about your rhythm, your impulses, and your intention. We don't "force" the shake into our bodies. The shake emerges from deep listening and from following how we feel called to move with the shake. We invite it to “move us”.

This is how we call in our well-being through this practice. And this is where the medicine lies.
